The problem is that I found it a bit inconsistent. When it works it works just as well as it does on an iPhone 6S, though not as well as on the 7. The power button on the end of the Touch Bar is a Touch ID fingerprint scanner. The power button in the top right hand corner of the keyboard is now a fingerprint scanner too. With a bit of practice you can do most things with one hand on the Touch Bar and one on the trackpad.
